Cellnetrix releases CellSIM Dynamics – a solution to simplify implementation and maintenance of the legacy SIM toolkit-based services

Cellnetrix has announced the first release of  CellSIM Dynamics, an application designed for the wide range of Java Card compliant SIM cards and targeted primarily for the unification of the existing operators’ services based on SIM toolkit. CellSIM Dynamics makes it possible to implement SIM menu with the variety of different functions fully covering actual market demands and making further updates and maintenance of SIM menu easy and convenient.
    The unification is achieved through the fact that there is no necessity to order application development from each SIM card manufacturer, all of them will get an application copy to be loaded during the production. After that SIM cards delivered by different vendors will have the same menu configuration and thus SIM menu update, even a modification of  single menu item becomes much easier. One of CellSIM Dynamics features is reliable support of OTA updates via SMS, which does not even require a dedicated OTA platform: it is enough to use any SMS dispatching service. The preparation of SMS messages for the update can be done with help of tools delivered by Cellnetrix.
    SIM cards with a SIM toolkit menu will not become outdated because they can be updated virtually anytime. One of  CellSIM Dynamics advantages for the operator is an opportunity to easily extend the list of the existing suppliers, cut test SIM cards preparation time owing to the ready-to-use application and shorten the acceptance procedure period due to an automated test suite.
    Availability of an OTA platform makes SIM toolkit menus update even easier. Normally only 2-3 short messages per subscriber are required to add or modify one service/menu entry.
    Reliability and endurance of CellSIM Dynamics application is assured by means of additional functional and stress tests which guarantee the reliable and long-life operation on SIM cards of various manufacturers.
    Cellnetrix offers CellSIM Dynamics using the standard business model which is applicable to all applets provided by the company – fixed cost without any royalties depending on the produced SIM cards volume.
    The requirements to SIM cards are minimal: EEPROM size 32K, Java Card RE version – 2.1.1, SIM API – release 98. CellSIM Dynamics applet own size is 13-15 Kb depending on the configuration.
