The rapid development of
mobile telecommunication technologies has led to considerable
improvement of modern 2G and 3G wireless network services. The leading
role in implementation and integration of services has been gradually
devolving from mobile operators upon service providers, whose task is
to get the most effective service implementation for their clients –
mobile subscribers and corporate clients.

At that, technical requirements applicable to the basic element of application and client’s personal information safety provisioning (U)SIM card based on UICC platform, have increased a lot during last several years. USIM is evolving from a simple security device to a multimedia system integrated into the external environments but at the same time still providing security for internal operators' and subscribers' applications and data, supporting a number of external interfaces such as USB, SWP, and contactless including Zigbee. In order to solve those problems fundamentally new solutions are required built on open technologies and interfaces providing necessary level of security and convergence, adaptability to new applications and services.
