Cellnetrix offers different business models for (U)SIM OTA management services which make it possible for mobile operators and service providers to launch OTA campaigns for update of existing (U)SIM card base at the earliest date without any requirement to buy costly equipment. Currently 2 main business models are available for Cellnetrix customers: virtual hosting on Cellnetrix server equipment and ASP model which implies equipment installation at customer's premises with full technical support. |
Virtual OTA hosting
The most convenient business model for those customers that intend to run a time-limited operative OTA campaign is virtual hosting. Cellnetrix technical specialists take full responsibility for preparing, testing and running the OTA campaign without any additional efforts from the customer. This is the simplest and the fastest way to access the OTA service.
Dedicated OTA gateway
If a customer requires to guarantee the high availability of the OTA service to its subscribers then OTA service should be maintained as a permanent service and thus the most reasonable way to do that is to install the dedicated equipment at operator's premises or in Cellnetrix server pool. The OTA gateway is fully managed and supported by Cellnetrix during the full circle of OTA operations.
Main features of OTA services
Without any regard to the used business model Cellnetrix provides full-blown turn-key OTA services and guarantees:
- Compatibility with Java and Native SIM cards
of major manufacturer;

Usage of a dedicated SMS gateway
If required Cellnetrix may provide own SMS gateway to do the SMS dispatching. In this case an operator or a service provider should provide SIGTRAN or SS7 connectivity.
